
Minister of Water Resources and Belagavi District incharge Ramesh Jarakiholi said that Gokak Falls, Godachinamakli falls and Hidakal Dam will be developed as a tourist destination within next three years.
After paying tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on birth anniversary on Friday he Spoke to journalists, “The Water Resources Department was supposed to start work in Gokak falls at a cost of Rs 300 to 350 crore. But delayed by Corona. We aim to develop the Gokak and make it an international tourist destination over the next three years,” he said.
He also said that the department has planned to make place of worship, like Haridwar on the banks of the Ghatakprabha River, adjacent to the old office of the city.

Lodges, Hotels, Marriage Halls and Boating facility will be arranged for tourists. Already a plan has been made and the 2-days package will be arranged in this part, Minister said.
