Belagavi’s Camp Fish Market to get a facelift

Soon, residents in the Belagavi city would be able to shop for seafood varieties in the neat and clean environment. In order to provide a hygenic environment for the city’s seafood shoppers, The fish market at Camp will be developed.

Long pending demand of the people of Camp area will be fulfilled soon. 50 lakh special grant has been released in the first phase for the development of fish market in the camp area.

We had appealed Kota Srinivasa Poojary, Minister of Fisheries, Ports and Inland Transport of Karnataka for this project. The same have been sanctioned now. We will take steps to create a state-of-art fish market here with all facilities” Benake Said.

Benake also said that we have requested for the release of 50 lakhs more for the second Phase Development works.

Managing Director of Fisheries Department Amalimani, Engineer Amarnath, Deputy Director Sripada Kulkarni were present.
