Security has been reinforced with the deployment of 5,000 police personnel for the the Winter session of the Karnataka Legislature, scheduled to take place from December 4 to 15 at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi.
Police personnel are being accommodated in four large German tents, with a construction cost of approximately two crore rupees.
Belagavi Police Commissioner SS Sidramappa on Thursday has informed about construction of a township near the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Alarawad. This township will consist of four spacious German tents and will be able to house over 5 thousand policemen. The purpose of this development is to provide accommodation for police personnel arriving from different districts of the state.
A massive German tent measuring 100 feet in width and 200 feet in length is being set up. There will be four large tents and one small tent. The tent is designed to house 500 individuals. Each single cot within the tent will have a bed-pillow, bedsheet, mattress, and a charging system.
A small tent has been built specifically for senior officials, accommodating a maximum of 2,000 people for sleeping at once. He confidently assured that implementing shift work poses no issues.
