District in-charge minister, Govind Karjol on Monday said that, The super-speciality hospital which is being built at the cost of Rs.140 crore in the premises of the Belagavi district hospital will be functional by November.
He said that The super-speciality hospital will cater to a large population in North Karnataka and surrounding areas. It will provide tertiary care to poor patients free of cost.
The government plans to set up and upgrade hospitals at village, taluk, district and regional levels, He said.
He also said that a branch of the Kidwai cancer hospital will also come up in Belagavi at a cost of ₹130 crore. Land for the same has been identified.
