Offline teaching in Belagavi schools for Classes 1 to 9 will be suspended from January 11 to January 18 in view of the spread of Covid-19 in the city and district, Deputy commissioner M G Hiremath announced on Monday.
After prolonged discussions with officials in detail at the District Level Disaster Management Committee meeting held on 10.01.2022. the district district administration, has decided to shut the schools in Belagavi district for physical classes for Standard 1 to Standard 9 under the Disaster Management Act of 2005 and under Government Order Reference (1).
Amid the surge in coronavirus cases, the government has recently issued guidelines which also included that the RTPCR Mandatory, Night Curfew weekend curfew, cinemas, gyms, salons, parlours, and auditoriums will operate at 50 per cent seating capacity.
Today, Belagavi reported 129 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The 129 infections took the overall tally in the 80,738 mentioned in a release here.
