Construction of the Belagavi Police Commissioner office building at City Police line on College road is on full swing.
The construction works have been initiated by the Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Belagavi division in 2 Acres land with an estimated cost of Rs. 12,64,14,000.
The present Police Commissioner office is in a old building in SP Office Road and very congested. There is shortage in parking place too. So a full-fledged high-tech Commissioner office is being constructed.

Then Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai (Now Cm Of Karnataka) had laid the foundation stone for the new commissioner office at the City Police line on College road on December 01, 2020. The construction work has been entrusted on Bengaluru-based M/s S R Constructions and the company has already completed almost 30% of the work.

The building will have a basement of 4720 Sqmts. And it will have G+2 floors. And the deadline to finish the work is 15 months from the date of initiation.
Road improvement : Along with the construction of the Police Commissioner office complex, road improvement works from College road to Commissioner office are also on. Already, Drainage works have started.
