In a relief to Covid patients waiting near hospitals for oxygen, NWKRTC launched ‘Oxygen on Wheel’ initiative at Belagavi Civil Hospital on Tuesday. DC MG Hiremath inaugurated the Oxy-Bus.
NWKRTC has modified a non-AC (Suvarna Sarige) City bus into an oxygen bank Eight cylinders, which will attend to Eight patients at a time.
The bus will be parked at Belagavi Civil Hospital, It will be free for people on a first-come-first-served basis.
Officials said they will think on converting more buses based on the need and response for this bus.
