Residents of Belagavi and its suburbs have started feeling the intense cold wave as the minimum temperature in the city dropped to 10.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD), for the first time this winter, on Monday, issued a cold wave warning for the next 24 hours over north-interior Karnataka districts after mercury plunged to as low as 5.5 degrees Celsius.

- Causes Eye Irritation: Dense fog contains pollutions of various types and these Pollutants in the air if exposed may tend to irritate the membranes of the eye causing various infections leading to redness or swelling of the eye.
