The long-delayed Belagavi city corporation polls was held on September 3 by adhering to COVID-19 protocols. For the 58-ward Belagavi City Corporation, 385 candidates completed.
Counting has began at 7am on Monday (Sep 06), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading since beginning. Finally BJP has was won maximum seats in 58 wards.
Interestingly, it is for the first time BJP will be ruling Belagavi City Corporation as MES was in power all these years.
From 58 wards, Bjp has won in 35 wards, Congress in 10 wards, Independents won in 13 wards. Belagavi district incharge minister Govind Karjol congratulated and Thanked citizens of Belagavi.
