Deltasys E-Forming, a 3D printer manufacturing startup from Belagavi, Karnataka, announced the receipt of a grant from Startup Karnataka, the Startup Cell of the Government of Karnataka, to develop large-format Hybrid Composite 3D Printer.
The fledgling company is working on the composite 3D printer since a long time and with the grant, it will soon introduce one for the Indian market.
ABOUT DELTASYS E-FORMING

Deltasys E-Forming was founded in 2018 by two friends Virendra Kadam, Co-Founder & CEO and Murlidhar Sutar, Co-Founder & CTO. The Startup is involved in manufacturing of 3D printing machines and providing additive manufacturing services.
Over the two and half years in operation, the company has rapidly grown into a powerhouse in the Western Maharashtra and North Karnataka industrial belt. Besides this, the company has also installed machines in nearly all Tier I and Tier II cities of India. Since its inception, Deltasys has sold more than 250 3D printers in various industries with Foundry being its most dominant customer base.

Startup Karnataka is one of the country’s first dedicated Startup Cell formed by the Government of Karnataka. Its aim is to promote Bangalore and Karnataka as the ultimate startup destination in the World.

It provides a one-stop solution to connect with government departments, provides information on regulatory environment, incentives, events, etc., helps in networking with industry bodies, TBIs, academic institutions, incubators, and supports in taking the Startup global.

Deltasys E-Forming participated in the Elevate Call2 program organised by Startup Karnataka in March 2020 in Bengaluru. The event was aimed at identifying the most innovative Startups and elevating them to the next level of entrepreneurship.

After several pitching rounds, the company was evaluated on novelty, business model, socio-economic impact, team strength, and budgetary allocation. Based on this, Deltasys E-Forming was adjudged as one of the winners of the competition.

As a prize, the company received a grant from Startup Karnataka, to develop a Hybrid Large Scale Composite 3D printer. Once completed, the printer will be able to print big electric vehicle bodies in a single build.

The composite 3D printer will also be used to make tooling such as mould, dies and patterns for composite industry to make components for railway, aerospace, naval, defence and luxury yacht industry.
The team is overwhelmed by the grant and support from the Government of Karnataka. The company announced that its development team has already started work on the project and it aims to complete the project as per its scheduled completion date of February 2021.
