PES&T’s Shaikh Group of Institutions, an organization that has started Engineering courses in Belagavi in 2009 to shut down soon. Vishvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has ordered for closure of this institute.

A decision to this effect was taken at the recent VTU Executive Council meeting. The closure order applies from the current academic year and the university has issued a public notice, cautioning parents and students against getting admitted to these colleges from 2021-22 academic year onwards.

Shaikh College of Engineering, Belagavi opted for closure on their own due to financial issues.

It is one of the institutes under the banner of PES&T’s Shaikh Group of Institutions. SCET is approved by the AICTE and recognized by University Grant Commissionof India. SCET is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi for its BE, M.Tech and Ph. D courses.

Shaikh College of engineering offers engineering courses such as Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering. And College use to take admission of 300+ students every year.
