The phenomenal passenger growth being experienced in the past at the Belagavi airport has continued in May month also. Addition of a new flight to Nagpur, Increase in frequency has resulted in the airport recording a remarkable growth in the number of flight movements, passenger and cargo traffic.
As per data provided by the Airport Authority of India (AAI), the passenger growth increased by 7.5 per cent in May 2022 (MoM) i.e., 37,301 which is means increase of 2428 passenger load compared to April 2022. The cargo movement was 2 MT. There was increase in flights movement as well, Number of flights movement was increased to 8 per cent (43 Flights) in May 2022.
As per the data, From January 2022 to May 2022, the passenger footfall at Belagavi Airport was 1,43,575. 2530 Aircraft Movements and 55 Tonnes of Cargo movement.

Belagavi Airport is now connected with Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Indore, Nagpur, Pune, Nashik, Tirupati with non-stop flights and Kalaburagi, Kishangarh, Bhuj, Mangaluru with one-stop flights from four popular airlines such as Spicejet, IndiGo, Star Air and Alliance Air.
