As per the data by the Airport Authority of India, Belagavi Airport registered 23,086 passengers footfall during February 2022. The count raised to 33% compared to January 2022.
The Passenger traffic was 17,384 in the month of January 2022, which was dropped due to Covid19 Third wave and travel restrictions, however in February, Belagavi airport witnesses 33% increase (5702) in the passenger footfall.
The aircraft movements at Belagavi Airport was 451 in February 2022, bit increased compared to January which was 430.
New flight & Frequency increase in summer schedule : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India has approved the summer schedule for the year 2022. According to the approval, this summer Belagavi Airport will connect to new city that is Nagpur. And Spicejet to increase frequency of Belagavi-Delhi to 7 days in a week. Airlines and Airport Director of Belagavi airport has confirmed regarding the same.
Delhi-Belagavi sector : As per the summer schedule, Spicejet to Operate it’s flight daily, the flight will depart from the Delhi international airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) at 6.05am and reach Belagavi at 8.45am. It will depart from Belagavi at 9.15am and land in Delhi International Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) at 11.45am.
Belagavi-Nagpur : The StarAir airline will be operating an Embraer 145 which is a 50-seater aircraft. The plane will operate twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday . It will depart Belagavi at 8.30am and reaches Nagpur at 10.00am and departs Nagpur at 10.30 am and reaches Belagavi at 12.00 pm
The Five Airlines namely Star Air, IndiGo, Spicejet, Alliance Air and Trujet operating direct flight from Belagavi to Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Nashik, Jodhpur, Indore, Tirupati, Surat, and One stop flights to Kishangarh and Kalaburagi. Trujet has temporarily suspended it’s operation to Kadapa, Mysuru, Hyderabad and Tirupati due to aircrafts unavailability.
