In a bid to strengthen security mechanism at Belagavi airport, Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) has inducted two sniffer dogs on Thursday (12 May).
According to airport sources, Two Sniffer Dogs, Teja and Bhoomi were inducted in Security set up at Belagavi Airport.
The deployment of two sniffer well-trained sniffer dogs is likely to bolster the security arrangements in the Belagavi Airport. These two sniffer dogs were capable of detecting explosive substances such as RDX, and narcotics, said an airport official.
Basic Infrastructure for keeping the Special Dogs are to be provided by Airports Authority of India (AAI) but Day to Day expenses on Dogs will be maintained by State Govt.
