Belagavi stood 10th in the list of 75 Districts of 27 States and Union Territories in the Country in implementation of Central Government scheme – Azadi Se Antyoday Tak (ASAT).
‘Azadi Se Antyodaya Tak’, a 90-day campaign with a mission to saturate 75 Districts across 28 States/UTs with beneficiary schemes of 09 central ministries
The Azadi Se Antyoday Tak (ASAT) campaign, a project to implement a set of rural development programmes in districts associated with freedom fighters was launched by the central government in April 12, 2022 and it ended on August 15, 2022.
Belagavi has achieved 84.45% saturation in the implementation of 17 programmes in the campaign.

The 75 districts were selected as these districts marginally lagging behind in the development parameters, through MPCE (Monthly per Capita Indicators) and D5/D7 SECC-2011 (Socio-Economic Caste Census) data.
Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil, Belagavi Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer H.V. Darshan and Project Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Ravi Bangareppanavar will be felicitated at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Monday, said a release from Joint Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Karma Zimpa Bhutia.
