App-based Public bicycle, e-bicycle & e-bike sharing system launched in Belagavi : Know rates

Good news for citizens of Belagavi who want a healthy alternative to city-wide travel. Belagavi Smart City Ltd (BSCL) has launched Public bicycle, e-bicycle & e-bike Sharing system in the city to provide the privilege of cycling to residents.

Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil inaugurated ‘Public bicycle, e-bicycle & e-bike Sharing’ (PBS) system at Shahpur Circle beside Ravindra Kaushik Digital Library on Friday (16 Dec) as part of the smart city project initiative.

There are 3 types of vehicles in all docking stations, Bicycle, Electric Bikes and Electric Bi-cycle. All these vehicles are GPS enabled.

The PBS system allow users to rent out a bike from a designated automatic docking station and deposit it at another docking station located close to his/her destination.

The aspiring Public Bicycle Sharing Company Yaana Bikes has set up docking stations at 20 locations in the city to manage the system in Belagavi. Company has deployed brand new vehicles ; Total of 100 Yaana electric bikes and 100 Yaana bicycles and 100 Yaana bicycles have been added.

How to take ride ?

Step 1 : Download YAANA app & Sign up

Step 2 : Find Bike/Cycle station near you and unlock

Step 3 : Take a membership on YAANA app or Make a security deposit or add money on app to start ride.

Step 4 : Park at station, Turn off/Manually lock it & Press END RIDE button in app
